Diane was born and raised in Oshawa and spent summers at the family cottage on Cameron Lake. Diane worked at "Myrt’s Groceteria" in Rosedale when she was a teen, with no idea that one day she would become the owner’s daughter-in-law!

Diane married Gord in 1980 and they have a 29-year-old son, Stewart.

During her 37+ year career at RBC, she held many senior positions, specializing in Corporate Citizenship, Human Resources, Communications, Employee Volunteerism and Fundraising.

Diane led RBC ‘s Employee Giving Campaign from 1997-2016 and created partnerships with several Canadian charitable organizations. Through Diane’s leadership and collaboration skills, RBC employees raised $199 Million over 20 campaigns, helping those less fortunate in communities across Canada.

Diane has received several United Way Spirit Awards, including being recognized with the prestigious "Leadership Chair of the Year" award. Diane also received the "Volunteer Award of Merit" from Junior Achievement, in addition to recognition from The Hospital For Sick Children for her tireless leadership in raising funds for the Hospital for 15+ years.

Among other career highlights, Diane was an RBC Performance Cruise Winner and had the honour of being a Torchbearer for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.

In March 2017, Diane made the decision to retire early to allow her to spend more time with her family and to enjoy traveling, skiing, boating, time at the cottage, and everything life has to offer.

She is excited to Chair the Social Activities & Events Committee for The PROBUS Club of Fenelon Falls as she loves meeting new people and having fun!
