Muriel Jones was born in Stratford Ontario, moving to Toronto when she was 5. She received her education there, then started her nursing career at Humber Memorial Hospital before moving to the Lindsay area. Muriel started work at the Ross Memorial Hospital in 1975. After the birth of her 3rd child, she was looking for a day job and moved into Health Records. After furthering her education Muriel became the Data Analyst for the hospital and from there moved to the role of Director of Health Records. After many cuts from the provincial government to health care, she was also given the Admitting Department, Communication Department and the After Hours Clinic. Muriel retired after almost 35 years at the Ross, and is loving retirement with her partner, Tony Nelson, and seems to be busier than ever. Muriel has 6 grandchildren to keep track of, lots of extracurricular activities, such as being a Hospice Volunteer, a member of Toastmasters International, curling, horseback riding and running a bed and breakfast along with other things such as PROBUS.
